These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of MedMalPal.
Intended Use
MedMalPal is intended for use by attorneys, law firms, and other authorized legal professionals evaluating potential medical malpractice matters.
MedMalPal is designed to assist professional judgment, not replace it.
Attorney Judgment
Every Merit Review is intended to assist an attorney’s evaluation of a potential medical malpractice case.
The final decision regarding investigation, representation, litigation, settlement, or any other legal action always belongs to the attorney.
Merit Reviews
Merit Reviews are generated from the information provided by the user.
The completeness and usefulness of every Merit Review depends, in part, upon the completeness and accuracy of the medical records submitted for review.
Role of MedMalPal
MedMalPal provides informational analysis designed to assist attorneys evaluating potential medical malpractice cases.
MedMalPal does not provide legal advice, medical advice, or expert opinions.
Use of MedMalPal does not create an attorney-client relationship between MedMalPal and any user or client.
User Responsibilities
Users agree to:
- Upload only records they are authorized to use.
- Comply with applicable laws and professional obligations.
- Protect their account credentials.
- Independently evaluate every Merit Review before relying upon it.
Ownership
Medical records remain the property of the user or the user’s client.
Merit Reviews generated by MedMalPal belong to the user.
MedMalPal retains ownership of its software, platform, prompts, workflows, and underlying technology.
Professional Responsibility
MedMalPal is intended to support professional judgment.
Attorneys remain responsible for evaluating the medical records, conducting any additional investigation they consider appropriate, consulting qualified experts when necessary, and exercising independent professional judgment in every matter.
No Guarantee of Outcome
Every medical malpractice case is unique.
MedMalPal does not guarantee that a Merit Review will identify every issue, predict every legal outcome, or reach any particular conclusion.
The quality of every Merit Review depends upon, among other things, the completeness and accuracy of the medical records submitted for review.
Changes to These Terms
These Terms of Use may be updated from time to time as MedMalPal evolves.
Continued use of MedMalPal constitutes acceptance of any revised Terms.
